Reuters reports that PayPal is planning to start offering $20 rebates and free shipping to customers using the service via thousands of on-line stores in North America.
…millions of PayPal customers will be eligible to receive cash rebate offers up to $20 when paying with PayPal from Nov. 23 through May 15, 2007.
The promotion includes such well known brands as Barnes-n-Noble, Dell, Starbucks, Art.com, The Sharper Image, 1-800-Flowers, PetSmart and partially HP.
The news probably comes as an attempt by PayPal to fight the Google Checkout gaining popularity with their $10 off $30 deal.
