One Deal a Day Web Sites Roundup

The “fame and glory” radiated by Woot isn’t going unnoticed. Others have picked up the tab and there are probably more Daily Deal web sites today than there are traditional ones. Here is a brief list of those that I am aware of. Post a comment if you know a web site that I missed.

Dedicated One Deal a Day web sites:

  • Woot is probably the best known one. Their blog is fun to read even if you don’t participate in the auctions. They recently launched a wine section
  • Yugster is another very popular and well designed web site. They offer Second Chance Offer when the original item is sold out.
  • Stootsi lures customers by offering a full refund to the first person to buy a new product that they launch every day at noon (dead as of 06/02/10)
  • WaitYourPrice which I reviewed earlier offers a full Dutch auction with the price going to zero until the items are sold out (dead as of 03/22/07)
  • AtomicShopping is another reverse price auction offering a wide range of items for sale
  • Tanga offers daily deals and games
  • LunarLoot offers a daily offer on electronics
  • SteepAndCheap specializes in outdoor equipment
  • BFIZ offers fine jewelry daily
  • MidnightBox is more a game than a typical deal site. You have to guess what is offered for sale before you know what you are buying. The first person to guess gets a prize.
  • GamesDuJour just launched in December 2006. They sell one downloadable PC game a day at a deep discount
  • BitsDuJour features software for PC, PDA and smartphones. They don’t sell but rather arrange a discount and link you to the vendor
  • MacZot offers software for Apple Mac
  • GoingToday offers gear for musicians
  • Shnoop offers daily deals in general merchandise
  • Dealko offers daily deals on a wide range of products. You get perks like a prize if you guess the “sold out” time. Today every 20th sale was free.
  • ChickChock is another deal of the day site. Their slogan is: One Day. One Chance. One Choice (dead as of 02/15/09)
  • RadCru is a daily deal site for wine lovers
  • DealDotCom with the help of their minions are selling one internet marketing product a day. Useful for people with online presence, blog owners and webmasters

Around the Globe:

  • iBOOD offers an online offer daily and covers most of the Europe
  • Zazz is the oldest Australian One Deal a Day web site
  • CatchOfTheDay has recently joined them with a very similar front page design

Also worth mentioning:

If you feel overwhelmed, here is a helping hand:

  • DODTracker lists a ton of Daily Deal sites and shows details on the current deal for each. With over 50 deals listed it looks like a real time saver

Hi! Thank you for mentioning DODTracker.com.

Just wanted to mention that we allow you to sort deals based on things like time remaining and our special “activity meter”, and that you can choose to hide deals sites that you’re not interested in.

Hope our tool can be useful to some of you, and thanks again for thinking of us when you think “one-a-day”.

Ran across this site looking to fuel my deal obsession. I also frequent a listing site at http://zerodaydeals.com little weird getting used to, but seems to work well instead of checking a ton of different sites a day.

I’m also diggin the site http://www.zerodaydeals.com. Seems to load quick and the pictures and descriptions separate it from others of it’s kind. Maybe cause it’s been around a little longer. Anyone know what it’s programmed in? I dont recognize it.

  7. 7 Patrick Dec 6th, 2006 at 12:47 am

http://www.bargainjack.com has 21 deals per day and a daily deal page like dodtracker. Bargainjack has product pics but fewer sites than dodtracker.

  8. 8 Ben @ DODTracker.com Dec 13th, 2006 at 9:02 am

    Hey all,

DODTracker also has picture support now. To help deal with the vast number of sites we list, we also have tabs for selecting sites based on category (electronics, sports & apparel, etc).

Feel free to email us anytime if there’s a feature you’re looking for that we don’t have! And enjoy the fun in shopping for gifts–I got a Marshmallow Shooter for Pops via GeeksForGizmos.com that I never would have thought of otherwise.

    Enjoy!

Get the best one day travel deals at http://www.mysmoot.com. We are listed on lots of the one day deal sites and we beat the other travel sites – that really don’t have the Hot Deals they advertise. There are better prices out there. Do your research and check in daily or get our feed. Thanks!

    Hi there —

Some quick news for consideration! Just thought I’d let you know that Yugster.com is doing some extra cool stuff this week — $10 off their next purchase to all existing Yugsters — and to any new members who join by February 2, 2007! With over 10,000 existing Yugsters, that means Yugster’s giving away over $100,000 in savings this week. For more info, check out http://www.Yugster.com.

Cheers, Angela (stopping by from Yugster.com)

That’s a great list. It doesn’t look like you have too many of the watch “deal of the day” sites though. There are a bunch of them at http://www.watchwatchdog.com if you’re interested.

  44. 44 Joe Dec 16th, 2009 at 12:06 am

I’d like to add in http://www.salecamel.com. They have a constant updating stream of deals of the day along with any sort of sale that happens around the net.

  45. 45 Bob Jan 2nd, 2010 at 8:28 pm

Check for our “deal of the day” website launching on or about Jan. 25th. (Just what you need, ANOTHER dod website!!)

  46. 46 arthur Jan 3rd, 2010 at 2:01 am

Bob, just because you have a logo doesnt mean that the site is in Beta … probably should wait for a functioning site to slap “beta” on it.

  47. 47 Jon R Feb 7th, 2010 at 2:02 pm

Check out this new daily deal site that just launched in Los Angeles. Pretty cool concept of getting expensive places to slash their prices to half off in this crummy economy.

    It’s called http://www.socialbuy.com

I bought a voucher this past week for cupcakes lol. Got 3 for price of 1. Not too shabby to share with some friends after work.

  48. 48 Ryan Mar 29th, 2010 at 6:19 am

As is the case with most of the posters I too have a deal of the day site.

    I focus on collectibles.

    http://ryansdealaday.com

Thanks for putting up this list.

  49. 49 Jenny C. Jul 27th, 2010 at 4:38 am

I am impressed that so many one deal sites are available now. I was about to make one.

  50. 50 One Day Gallery Aug 17th, 2010 at 2:35 pm

You guys should check out One Day Gallery. We are a daily deal website that offers original art at up to 90% gallery prices.

  51. 51 Dave Aug 26th, 2010 at 12:16 am

What keeps customers from going to deal of the day business and saying i know you split the deal price with the deal of the day site, give me a little better price and you will not have to give deal of the day site their half. You do better and advertiser does better and site gets no money and they wilpl never know.

  52. 52 Avi Feb 22nd, 2011 at 6:58 am

http://www.snatchthat.com features one amazing deal every day, at an insanely low price! The feature deal goes live precisely at noon and is available for 24 hours and no more, unless sold out prior. It could be anything from an iPod touch to a pair of movie tickets. Anything is possible! Follow us on Twitter or like us on Facebook to receive the daily deal update!

  53. 53 Deal Shopper Apr 10th, 2011 at 6:52 pm

http://www.Sumballo.com is the new comer. They recently launched in November 2010, and the deals are provided by the community, which provides self monitoring, so they are always good quality. Here’s the twist which no other deal site is doing – when a member posts a deal, they will receive a portion of the affiliate commission paid to Sumballo for every resulting sale! It’s a great concept and I cannot wait until the community grows and provides even more opportunity for each of us to make money online. Saving money is great, but making money is better!

  54. 54 Kathy Apr 12th, 2011 at 11:13 am

    Hi there,

MidnightBox.com updated their site a while ago – they don’t do that game anymore. They offer 3 deals each day and operate very similarly as any other daily deal site – available for 24 hours or until sold out
