I tried this, but I did not see any rates from FedEx??? All I saw was the post office and DHL, which doesn’t have an office in my town. Not much of a help.

I’m not sure why you’d want to use this red roller. It doesn’t offer any signicant cost savings and their support people are rude. I can see why they are struggling.

RedRoller has some advantages that that other ebay spin off does not. If you are looking for good small package rates sign up for AMPC, it’s worth it.

That Sidekick is opensource software and can be hacked into very easily. I hear that TransGuardian is developing a small parcel engine.

A couple of comments:

1) RedRoller includes four carriers right now; not two; the two other carriers are Eastern Connection and Overnite Express.

2) RedRoller is FREE! Shipping Sidekick charges $14.95 a month to just provide rates.

3) RedRoller lets you print a shipping label, keep your history in one place, track your packages, and use one address book.

4) RedRoller offers discounted rates; Shipping Sidekick takes you to the carrier site where you could pay 30-50% more than RedRoller rates.

5) RedRoller offers services, like DHL@home, not even available on the DHL site. These rates for shipping to residences offer a huge value to eBay shippers.

The problem with that website is that I have to give my credit card info out just to try it. I am not about to do it with a company I have not heard of only yesterday.

There is very little information outside that sign-up form: a contact email and a ton of Google ads. My thoughts out loud: what if this is just a scam trap?

I looked into red roller to ship a bunch of packages and they didn’t have Fedex or UPS. I searched the internet and stumbled across http://www.shippingsidekick.com and not only did they have USPS, DHL, UPS, and Fedex, but the site also told me when the package would arrive. It turned out Fedex was cheaper so I’m glad I discovered shippingsidekick.
