That is a common problem with CFL’s. Things get worse in cold environment. This is why garage in winter is absolutely wrong place to use CFL’s at. Some brands however perform better than others. I will check what I use when I get home.

Has anyone found good CFLs to purchase? My wife hated that the ones we had took a full couple of seconds to turn on and had a white light to them.
