Thanks Yan! Actually I doubt refreshing the browser works as Alexa Toolbar sent back IP address installation date as signature and I think Alexa would have discount the requests if they all came with the same signature.

I also agree that my site should not be listed here as my content is very much localised (getting 95% Australian visitors). I'm just reporting back my progress so far after a year of running a deal site in a relatively less-populated country :)

Scott, congratulations on the milestone! Are you serious about pressing refresh affecting the rank? I heard about something like this done before but couldn't trust the source.

Being on this list will not buy you much since only 0.7% of my visitors came from Australia last month, according to Google Analytics.

So far I have stayed clear of foreign sites and if I were to list them I would probably start with RedFlagDeals, a major Canadian deal site.

Scott, the 3 month average is what the numbers here are. if you hit that average, then let Yan know.

@in hiding -- Alexa ranking is all relative, not just in your niche but across all the sites. Therefore you might experience traffic increase, but your relative ranking might still drop.

@Yan -- What's the minimum Alexa ranking to be listed here? 100k? My site just went past 100k for the first time since it was launched, and repeatedly pressing Refresh with Alexa toolbar installed does the trick! (j/k :)

Roger, Did you find that site, or did you create that site? It doesn't have any alexa rank at all.

I noticed that the past year, on this list (and in alexa) my site has gone down in rankings every month, but in reality,I had only 3 down traffic months, and the others were nearly all 10% gainers. I know my ranking here doesn't affect traffic, or the satisfaction of my users, so I'm not asking for any change, but just curious if this is the same for some of the other site owners?
