I bought a Subaru Tribeca a week ago... It all started with 72 hour sale and I was looking into Chevy Equinox. But dealers kept playing pricing games with me and I called Subaru to inquire about their promos. They had the whooping $7000 off on Tribeca so I jumped at that offer. To make th elong story short - I dealt with Chevy dealers twice - my first car was Chevy Prizm 2002 and I dealt with Subaru Dealers twice - my wife's car is Subaru Forester 2005. Both times I was treated very poorly at the Chevy and had an awesome experience with Subaru dealerships. When will GM (Chevy) get their act straight? Maybe I just had bad luck but Chevy finally lost me as a customer for life.

How to negotiate a great deal on a new car - http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/deal-discussion/444610

I personally had a very good experience negotiating the car price online. No pressure and you have more control over the situation plus you can actually do a research and think your response through before responding.
