Update: for the latest revision of this list go to Popular deal sites - April 2011.
This is June 2008 revision of the Popular Deal Sites list. You can find the last month revision of the list here.
The change in rating shows the difference compared to May results and includes all deal sites from my database that meet Alexa Rank < 100,000 requirement. I am sticking with the original limit as moving to 50,000 seems to cut some interesting sites.
The top gainer this month is judysbook.com(99.02%) which jumps out of nowhere with a huge gain. Is this a sign that the site has been finally sold?
The worst performer is techbargains.com (-13.29%) but the change is within a usual fluctuation margin. Overall rank changes are mixed despite the bad economy and summer season. I honestly expected more red.

Also missed http://www.dealio.com – alexa 4600, and http://www.dealsucker.com – alexa 83,000.
Thanks for the great list
Hey,
Great list.
I have a niche price comparison site for live event tickets called http://www.tickex.com. Do you know if anyone does lists for Niche sites like my own.
Thanks!
I just don’t understand why Fatwallet is always lower than slickdeals? Since Fatwallet gives cash back to shoppers, I am thinking it should gain more poularity than slickdeals. But it’s just not the truth. Does that mean people do not like to save more?
Another example is DealDigs.com which is very similar to Dealspl.us and Dealigg, but it just gives cash back to its shoppers. But it is not as popular as the latter two (dealdigs lunched just this year though).
There is a lot more aspects to a successful community deal site than just cash-back. I think part of the Fatwallet’s problem is that it is more restrictive that SlickDeals
