It’s been a couple weeks since I am back home from my trip and I should tell you it is a great feeling! I finally got to read the news, browse online forums and listen to pod-casts - things I was for the most part deprived off while traveling.
I have been lately thinking a lot about what I want to do in life and I gradually come to a conclusion that working for an employer is not mine. There are really several reasons. One is that I am a very opinionated person and if I feel something is right or wrong it takes a good effort for anyone to convince me otherwise. I have been known for starting arguments in email groups and keeping the flame up long after everyone has lost interest. This makes it hard to survive in a team with another strong personality - my boss. Secondly, I feel that working as an employee I give the best of me to the company and what I get in return is the paycheck, a temporary monetary reward which (after the basic needs are satisfied) is very easy to waste on stuff I don’t really need. It takes huge self discipline to put aside some of it for retirement but the main problem is, there are really not many options as far as choosing where to invest.

This is July 2010 revision of the Popular Price Comparison web sites list. You can find the last month revision of the list here.
The change in rating shows the difference compared to May results (I missed a month to vacation). The list has 32 web sites, the same number as the last month. There are 18 more sites in my database that don’t meet Alexa Rank < 100,000 requirement. The average price comparison site has lost (2.54%) this month
The best performer this month is bottomdollar.com with a gain of (25.09%) (which to my surprise lost 1 point in Google Page Rank) followed by thefind.com (20.67%). The worst performer this month is hawkee.com with a loss of (-33.13%) followed by like.com (-20.36%). Please enjoy the complete list below.

The change in rating shows the difference compared to June results and includes all deal sites from my database that meet Alexa Rank < 100,000 requirement. A total of 32 sites have made it this month which is the same number as the last month
The average deal site lost just 0.40% in Alexa rank this month. The top gainer this month is again edealinfo.com (10.79%) and the top loser is for the third time in the row deals.com (-12.4%). Please enjoy the complete list below.

Amazon has just released a new set of grocery coupon codes and the variety is much better than in July. This is actually the best coupon list in a long time! I am posting them as usual sorted by discount so it is more convenient to pick those with the best value. All coupons expire August 31, 2010 or later.
