Tough economic times create issues for some and business opportunities for others. A good example is a family owned UK site selling expired but edible food at a discount. It appears their business is booming and they currently have a 12-day backlog of orders due to a healthy demand for their products. I wonder if there is a US equivalent to this website? (via)

Senate delays digital TV transition plans

Just as I expected the deadline for moving to digital TV has been moved. The new date is June 12. Do you have an analog TV? Have you installed a converter box yet? I am still lingering. The notebook bag I bought in May for $6.99 helped me a lot during my trip to Ukraine. This notebook case from Circuit City is not as cool looking but it is very hard to argue the price tag, which is $0 after the $40 mail-in rebate.

This is one stylish looking notebook bag that Circuit City currently sells for $6.99 after $10 mail in rebate. I think I am going to get one myself. The customer reviews on Circuit City web site are pretty favorable.

Available for purchase in store only. I checked availability and it is in stock in all three Circuit City stores in my area.
