This is October 2006 revision of the Popular Price Comparison web sites list. You can find the last month revision of the list here.
Thanks to your feedback I have added quite a few web sites. The rank change for them is marked as (n/a) while the rest of the sites have the actual rank change since September.
I have noticed an interesting thing. Since lower Alexa rank means higher popularity the negative change is actually good and should be marked green. I have done the green part right but I didn’t keep the “negative” sign. Likewise the positive change is correctly marked red but I added the “negative” sign to it — it just looks more natural this way.
The biggest gainer is become.com with the rank increase of 18.1%. This is not surprising at all. The team is busy adding some very cool features which obviously gets noticed.
The biggest looser unexpectedly (at least for me) is shopwiki.com with a decrease in Alexa rank of 27.0%. Could it be a sign that between the quantity of the search results and their quality consumers really choose the latter?

This is the October 2006 revision of the Popular Bargain Hunting web sites list. You can find the last month revision of the list here.
Over the past month (partially thanks to your tips) I have discovered quite a few new web sites. 8 of them have made it to the top list. There are total of 16 sites that didn’t make it.
I have dropped the Page Rank > 0 requirement. Now all the web sites with Alexa < 100,000 are included. It is hard to understand how Google calculates the rank. Sometimes very popular sites get a rank of 0 (e.g resellerrating.com). I will still keep tracking Page Rank for the reference.
The change in rating shows the difference compared to the September results. The web sites that I don’t have last month results for are marked as n/a. The top looser appears to be gotapex.com with a -21.6% decrease in Alexa rank. The top gainer is dailyedeals.com with +18.3% increase.
Update: resellerrating is incorrect domain name. It should be resellerratings (with trailing ’s’) and the Page Rank is 7. Thanks to Dealigg for the tip.

This is a list of all price comparison web sites that I am aware of. I included the sites with Alexa ranking less than 100,000 or Page Rank 5 and higher. The list is sorted by Alexa rank (more popular sites are closer to the top).
I will update this list every month. Feel free to let me know if there is a price comparison site that meets the criteria above and needs to be included.

I have always wanted to do it and I think now is the time. I will list bargain hunting sites I know and will sort them by popularity. Alexa rank and Page rank (by Google) will do for the measure of popularity. One can argue how accurate these ranks are… well, if you have other ideas let me know. Meanwhile here it goes…

All sites in the list have Alexa rank less than 100,000 and Page rank more than 0. Will do an update in a month. It will be interesting to see how the list changes.
I excluded pure price comparison sites (e.g. shoplocal.com, nextag.com, etc), coupon databases (e.g. currentcodes.com), and sites specialized on just freebies (e.g. freesamplesite.com, absurdlycool.com, etc).
dealmac.com is not listed. It is closely affiliated with dealnews.com (as well as deallink, dealcam, and dealcoupon) therefore including only the best ranked site from the group.
A few last notes. damideals.com was just 7K short of getting into the list. Will check them out next month. Will have to check scottishwallet.com as well since it seems to be growing fast. dealunion.com has good Alexa rank but missed the Page rank test.
