This is October 2007 revision of the Popular Price Comparison web sites list. You can find the last month revision of the list here.
The change in rating shows the difference compared to September results. The list has a total of 33 web sites and there are 15 more sites in my database that don’t meet Alexa Rank < 100,000 requirement.
It looks like latest Google update affected a lot of sites. I am not sure if Page Rank is relevant anymore though. My blog for once was hit (the rank went from 4 to 3) but I don’t see anything changed web-traffic wise.
The winner this month is again pronto.com (27.63%) which just passed pricerunner by Alexa rank. The social functionality they launched in September and all the buzz around it is clearly helping.
The worst result comes from thefind.com (-58.98%). Other than possibly reduced amount of advertising I don’t have other explanation for this drop.

This month list looks like a very close race. There is just one website that has better than 10% rating change, pronto.com (11.04%) which had very good last month as well.
The worst result comes from thefind.com (-15.8%) which is the only website with rating change below -10%. Enjoy the complete list below and make sure to drop me a note if you find that your favorite price comparison website is missing.

The change in rating shows the difference compared to July results. The list has a total of 33 web sites compared to 34 last month. One more price comparison engine is out, this time it is activeshopper.com who joins 15 more sites in my database that don’t meet Alexa Rank < 100,000 requirement.
The leader this month is pronto.com (27.84%). This site actually shows very strong growth over the past several months. It has been holding first or second spot since May, and has had positive Alexa rank growth since March. Update: read this article on CNN Money about Pronto introducing social functionality.
On the down side, the worst result comes from dealighted.com (-26.69%) who might not hold very long in this list if the trend continues (they had one of the worst results last month as well).

The change in rating shows the difference compared to June results. The list has a total of 34 web sites compared to 35 last month. One more price comparison engine is out, this time it is streetprices.com who joins 14 more sites in my database that don’t meet Alexa Rank < 100,000 requirement.
calibex.com (21.71%), the NexTag company, is leading today’s list closely followed by pronto.com (21.39%) who have recently launched a site redesign (currently in beta) featuring such social features as product ranking by users and product reviews.
The worst result comes from activeshopper.com (-86.42%) which suddenly drops to the last position in the list. Does anyone have an explanation to this?

This is June 2007 revision of the Popular Price Comparison web sites list. You can find the last month revision of the list here.
The change in rating shows the difference compared to May results. The list has a total of 35 web sites compared to 36 last month (ugenie.com is out of the list again). There are 14 more in my database that didn’t meet the Alexa Rank < 100,000 requirement.
This month brings a little bit more green compared to May. pronto.com has the most growth (20.77%) and activeshopper.com has the worst rating change (-30.86%). dealighted.com who shows the second best rating change this month (15.72%) is rapidly catching up with them.
